Router Trade-in Procedure
Apply for designated Home Wi-Fi Service within the offer period of this Program. You will then receive an SMS notification in respect of the router trade-in approximately four to six weeks after the service installation.
Take your old Wi-Fi router to one of the Environmental Protection Department's designated public collection points for recycling, upon which the EPD will issue an Acknowledgement of Receipt immediately.
Bring the relevant SMS and your identity document to one of the HKT Shops or HKT Service Centers, submit the relevant Acknowledgement of Receipt together with a completed Router Trade-In Gift Redemption Form, and you will receive up to HK$600 HKT Smart Living cash vouchers, enabling purchase of smart products.
* To be eligible to this Router Trade-In Program ("Program"), you must be a NETVIGATOR consumer customer who has newly subscribed to designated Home Wireless / Home Networking Wireless Service with not less than 24-month commitment period (i.e. customers whose service installation address has not been installed with any Home Wireless / Home Networking Wireless Service within 3 months prior to the application date of the Home Wireless / Home Networking Wireless Service). This Program is not available to customers subscribing to NETVIGATOR Broadband Service with their business registration certificate. This Program is a time-limited program. Home Wireless Service and Home Networking Wireless Service are provided by us, Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT) Limited, subject to relevant terms and conditions. Please contact our sales representatives for details.
+ To be entitled to receive the cash voucher under this Program, eligible customers are also required to give one used router to one of the designated public collection points under the Computer and Communication Products Recycling Program ("CCRP") and provide to us the original of the relevant Acknowledge of Receipt issued under the CCRP. Eligible customers entitled the cash voucher will receive an SMS notification from us after completion of installation of their designated Home Wireless / Home Networking Wireless Service. Customers must bring the said Acknowledge of Receipt issued under the CCRP, the said SMS notification, a completed Gift Redemption Form of Router Trade-In Program and their HK Identity Card (for our verification) to one of our HKT shops or HKT Service Centers within 30 days from the issue date of the said SMS notification for redemption of the cash voucher under this Program.
# Each eligible customer (as counted by his/her service installation address) is entitled to HKT Smart Living HK$600 or HK$400 Smart Vouchers ("Voucher") as the gift under this Program once only, depending on the Home Wireless / Home Networking Wireless Service plans subscribed. The Voucher is subject to relevant terms and conditions. For details, please refer to the back page of the Voucher. If your NETVIGATOR Broadband Service is terminated for whatever reason, your Home Wireless / Home Networking Wireless Service will also be terminated at the same time. If the service is terminated before expiry of the relevant commitment period, you are required to pay us the value of the Voucher (i.e. HK$400 or HK$600) and other premium / gift you may have received under this Program, on top of such early termination charges and other charges you may be required to pay for termination of your NETVIGATOR Broadband Service and Home Wireless / Home Networking Wireless Service.
^ Home Wi-Fi performance depends on factors such as size of apartment, layout of the premises, nature of construction materials, other extraneous factors, as well as area of coverage specified by the customer.
Other than these Terms and Conditions, this Program (including the relevant gift redemption) is also subject to the terms and conditions set out in the said SMS notification and the said Gift Redemption Form of Router Trade-In Program. We reserve the right to terminate or change this Program or any terms and conditions of this Program at any time without notice, and to make the final decision in the event of any dispute.
